SAHPS Creature Feature

Join the South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society for a spooky evening of classic cinema, costumes, carnival fun, and community fellowship at the Gallery of History Museum!

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, we’ll bring the monsters of Hollywood’s golden age back to the big screen with an outdoor showing of House of Dracula (1945), featuring some of Universal’s most legendary characters—including Dracula, the Wolf Man, and Frankenstein’s Monster. The film is part of SAHPS’s Michael G. Fitzgerald Collection.

The fun begins at 6:00 PM, with the outdoor movie starting at approximately 6:30 PM. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes and bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the movie under the stars.

After the film, stick around for even more fun with a Boomer Hill Band street dance and old-fashioned carnival games. The Gallery of History Museum will also be open for guests to explore throughout the evening.

Bring your family and friends and spend a fall evening with SAHPS celebrating classic movies, local history, and some good old-fashioned Halloween fun!
